Cullen Luper

Cullen Luper is a San Francisco-based multi-instrumentalist, composer, and teacher whose interests range from Bach to Basie, Gow to Gershwin, Rameau to Reinhardt, Frampton to Fraser, and many more. This multi-genre/era passion began at an early age starting with Suzuki violin, classical piano lessons, and music camps through the San Francisco Early Music Society. The San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers and Alasdair Fraser Fiddle Camps opened the door to really hearing music, and thus began the exploration of GROOVE. Cullen joined the jazz world through performing with Marcus Shelby and Paul Mehling’s Le Jazz Hot and the Hot Club of San Francisco. Starting in the fall of 2021, Cullen is excited to begin his adventure in the Applied Composition and Production Program at the SAN FRANCISCO CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC.

Look for Cullen “CUJO” Luper at MR TIPPLE’S RECORDING STUDIO with Paul Mehling’s LE JAZZ HOT, or at OLD SKOOL CAFE playing jazz piano, or with the SAN FRANCISCO SCOTTISH FIDDLERS & at Alasdair Fraser Events, or at Music Festivals, Farmers Markets, Spain, etc.
